ACTRA’s online courses were designed to give ACTRA members greater knowledge of their rights as well as how to navigate the complicated business of performing. Available courses will automatically be displayed on the site after registering or logging in. Special thanks to ACTRA Toronto for allowing us to adapt their original course content for national use.

Full Member AFBS Orientation
Designed for ACTRA new Full Members, this course will cover the basics of AFBS, so you can take full advantage of your health and retirement savings plans.

Apprentice Orientation
The Online Apprentice Orientation provides information about the union and is required for all new Apprentice members. Topics include: your rights on set; your obligations as a member; pay, benefits, and the paperwork; and who’s who at ACTRA.

AABP Orientation
This session is required for all new ACTRA Additional Background Performers (AABP). It provides an introduction to ACTRA and useful information to help AABP members become more involved and active in the business and in the work of the union

IPA Refresh
This course introduces (or re-introduces) you to the ins-and-outs of the Independent Production Agreement (IPA) which covers many types of film, television and digital media productions that ACTRA performers work on.

NCA Refresh
The purpose of this supplementary course is to introduce (or re-introduce) you to the ins-and-outs of the National Commercial Agreement (NCA) which covers many types of commercials that ACTRA performers work on..

Money Management
Financial Literacy and Money Management are important skills to have as a performer. Money Management Basics for Performers 101 and 201 are ACTRA's e-learning courses that help performers develop financial literacy and financial planning skills.
